Dune: Part Two is so good! It's visually stunning and, as you said, the deviations from the book heighten the story. This is a masterclass in how you adapt a book to the screen.

I am also concerned that the Dune franchise will explode, leading to worse and worse films/shows. My hope is that Villeneuve so far has been pretty reserved in his comments on other projects. If he is at the helm of another one of these it will be exquisite. But if the studio takes it out of his hands, I don't know what we'll end up with.
