Great review! I'm not a big horror movie person, but I really enjoyed this film. I was on the edge of my seat, even though some of the more spiritual elements didn't quite land for me. I'm really surprised that this is getting a sequel... I'll probably still see it, though it is, as you said, unnecessary.
