Great review! I'm still utterly perplexed as to why we're getting two additional versions of Pinocchio but, like you said, Matteo Garrone's is sure to stand out. There's no way that American studios will produce something as slow and meandering as this version. Though I didn't particularly enjoy this movie, it was really gorgeous and I hope more people see it!

I also really appreciate the use of the word "mollycoddling"... I need to definitely use that more often in my communication. Well done!
