I grew up watching the 1954 original… so good!

I’ve realized as I’m working through these movies that they care far less about the human characters than the monsters, with varying degrees of success. And I’m kind of okay with that.

I’m intrigued that you enjoyed Skull Island — I hated every moment of it (my review is forthcoming). I tried to like it, but I think it’s one of those movies that just isn’t for me.
