I like this theory... some days you're just not ready for a weighty, important, deeply thoughtful movie. Sometimes, you just need a lighter movie.

It might be interesting to examine the changes in these streaming movies and if they coincide with the seeming rise of prestige television. For so long it seemed like movies were serious works and TV was silly or less important (both obvious generalizations). Now both are a little more mixed.
