I most definitely agree with you. I love the original trilogy and want to see more exciting and inventive stories in this universe, instead of the same old same old stuff.

I fear that the constant churning out of new series is not going to help matters, but just create more and more mediocre content that we didn't ask for. But I will be quite happy to be wrong.
